Storing laboratory glassware without the weekly breakage

Most glassware never breaks during an experiment. It breaks in the sink, on the drying rack, or in a drawer where three beakers were nested to save space and thermal stress finished the job.
Give each form its own home. Volumetric flasks stand upright with stoppers loose, beakers sit in single file rather than nested, and anything with a ground joint gets a sleeve so the surfaces are not grinding against each other every time the drawer opens.
Dry inverted on a coated rack rather than stacking wet. Trapped water between nested vessels creates suction that turns a routine separation into a chipped rim, and a chipped rim is a cut waiting to happen.
Retire damaged pieces immediately and visibly. A labelled disposal bin next to the sink is more effective than any policy document, because the decision happens at the moment the damage is noticed.
